There are many ways to be involved in music at First Lutheran. Some are listed below, but we are always open to new possibilities! Contact Brian if you'd like to get involved.
First Choir is the main musical ensemble of the church. It is open to all people high school age or older. First Choir sings most Sundays during the school year. This group also performs at many FIRST•music events, and is a regular guest choir for Evensong at Trinity Cathedral. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come to rehearsals.
Listen to the First Choir sing "God Loves the World" by Brian Wentzel.
The Handbell Choir is open to all people high-school-age or older. It plays in worship once or twice a month during the school year. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come to rehearsals.

The Guitar Group is an informal group of people who like to play guitar. They play in worship about once a month. Rehearsals occur on an as-needed basis.
Children of the congregation come together periodically to learn about music and worship, and present a musical offering in worship. 3-4 week sessions are scheduled throughout the year. Contact Brian for more information.
Members who play instruments occasionally play in church. Any instruments, from saxophone to percussion, from bass guitar to trumpet, are welcome! Email Brian if you have an instrument you'd like to play.
