Ensembles
There are many ways to be involved in music at First Lutheran. Some are listed below, but we are always open to new possibilities! Contact Brian if you'd like to get involved.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir is the main musical ensemble of the church. It is open to all people high school age or older. The Adult Choir sings most Sundays during the school year at the 10:30am service. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come to rehearsals. Free Child care is provided at all rehearsals.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir is open to all people high-school-age or older. It plays at the 10:30am service once or twice a month during the school year. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to come to rehearsals.
Guitar Group
The Guitar Group is an informal group of people who like to play guitar. They play at the 10:30am service about once a month, and are the core musical leaders for the outdoor service in July. Rehearsals are usually on an evening about once a month; times change based on the availability of members. Contact Brian to find out when the next meeting is.
Instrumentalists
Members who play instruments occasionally play in church at the 10:30am service. Any instruments, from saxophone to percussion, from bass guitar to trumpet, are welcome! Email Brian if you have an instrument you'd like to play.
